Last week, members of the Christchurch Jani-King (NZ) team had the privilege of volunteering at the New Zealand Food Network. This incredible organisation is dedicated to addressing food insecurity across New Zealand, and we were honoured to play a small part in their mission by assisting in packing essential food supplies for those in need.
The experience was truly rewarding, and we are immensely proud to have contributed to such a vital cause. Over the course of the day, our Christchurch team packed more than 13,000 meal equivalents that will be distributed to families and individuals throughout the community. Knowing that our efforts will directly help people in need made the day even more meaningful.
At Jani-King (NZ), we firmly believe in the importance of giving back to the communities we serve. Supporting initiatives like the New Zealand Food Network not only allows us to engage with our local community but also aligns with our commitment to sustainability. The Food Network’s efforts to rescue and redistribute food that would otherwise go to landfill are incredibly inspiring and resonate strongly with our own sustainability values.
Sustainability and community engagement are key pillars of our organisation. Being able to make a positive impact in both areas is a responsibility we take seriously and a privilege we deeply cherish.
A heartfelt thank you to the New Zealand Food Network for welcoming us and allowing us to contribute to your meaningful work. We look forward to partnering with you again in the future to continue making a difference.
Together, we can build a stronger, more sustainable, and supportive community.
