Last weekend, Jani-King (NZ) had the absolute honour of taking the community from Wairau Valley Special School to the Auckland FC match against Adelaide as our Group of the Knight. It was an incredible experience to share such a suspenseful and exciting game with the group from Wairau Valley.
Wairau Valley Special School is a truly special place, catering to students with unique disabilities. All students have an intellectual disability, and many also have physical disabilities, but that doesn’t stop them from embracing life with energy and enthusiasm. The school’s philosophy is all about inclusion; ensuring individuals with disabilities are part of all aspects of society.
The atmosphere at the stadium was electric, and the excitement was contagious. Our Group of the Knight got to cheer on Auckland FC, soak in the energy of the crowd, and enjoy an unforgettable night of sport, community, and fun.
At Jani-King (NZ), we believe in giving back to our community, and moments like these make it all worthwhile. We are so grateful to our wonderful partners, Auckland FC for working with us to provide these opportunities.
